Golden Gate Bridge

The Golden Gate Bridge has become one of the defining attractions of the Bay Area. A walk across the bridge allows for plenty of time to appreciate the Art Deco styling and fantastic views from this architectual masterpiece.


Marin Headlands

Rodeo Beach


Bay Model

Built by the Coast Guard just after WWII, the Bay Model is a to-scale model of the San Francisco Bay and Delta. Built to simulate tides and currents for predicting environmental impact, this . The model is over 1.5 acres in size. Self-guided tours in five languages are available.


Ferry
The Golden Gate Ferry offers service to Angel Island, San Francisco, and private ferry service is available for tours to Alcatraz.


Angel Island State Park

Previously the immigration checkpoint Angel Island is located in the middle of the bay and has been preserved in as a state park. There are views all around and the park boasts picnic areas, hiking and biking trails as well as small beaches for swimming and wading. Several first come, first serve slips are available for boaters and a small cafe is open on weekends and daily during the summer.


Muir Woods
